Half Day Trauma Training

£400

Our Half-Day Trauma Training offers a focused, engaging session designed to deepen understanding of trauma and its impact on children and young people. Delivered in-person by a qualified therapist, this training explores the connection between trauma and behaviour, the neuroscience of stress and regulation, and the power of relationships in creating safety and change. Sessions are grounded in real-world practice, offering clear, compassionate strategies that teams can take away and begin using immediately.

This training is ideal for staff working directly with children who have experienced adversity including residential teams, education staff, foster carers, and social care professionals. Whether as an introduction to trauma-informed care or a refresher to reignite good practice, the session encourages reflection, team cohesion, and a shared language of understanding.

Full Day Trauma Training

£600

Our Full-Day Trauma Training builds on the foundation of the half-day session, offering a more in-depth, reflective, and practice-focused experience. This full-day workshop is designed to strengthen professional confidence, deepen understanding of trauma and attachment, and equip teams with strategies that are both relational and realistic in everyday settings.

The day explores the core principles of trauma-informed care, the impact of developmental trauma on the brain and body, the reasons behind challenging behaviours, and the importance of regulation, connection, and consistency in support. Using case examples, interactive discussion, and practical tools, we guide participants to reflect on their own practice, role, and relational influence.

This training is ideal for teams who want more time to unpack the theory, apply learning to specific scenarios, and consider how to embed trauma-informed approaches into their culture, policies, and language. It’s particularly suited to residential teams, schools, fostering organisations, and services supporting children with complex needs or histories of adversity.

By the end of the session, participants leave with not only insight but also a renewed sense of purpose, shared language, and a clear plan for putting learning into action.

Therapeutic Formulation

£750

Our Therapeutic Formulation service offers a deep, trauma-informed understanding of the young person at the centre of your care. The process begins with a two-hour consultation in the morning, where we meet with key team members to explore the young person’s history, current behaviours, and the wider context around them. Following this, a detailed formulation is written the same day by a qualified therapist. The formulation includes a summary of background information, strengths, key areas of concern, likely unmet needs, and tailored strategies to support the young person in a meaningful and relational way. Crucially, the formulation also includes guidance on how to embed this work into everyday practice. Later in the day, we return for a one-hour feedback session to walk through the formulation, explore next steps, and ensure the team feels confident and connected in their approach.

This service is designed to offer clarity, cohesion, and practical guidance for teams supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. It is suitable for anyone working with a child who has experienced trauma, including residential care teams, schools, foster carers, social workers, and wider professional networks.
